Leadership

Every lodge is governed by a Master and 2 Wardens. The Master, sometimes referred to as the Worshipful Master (the term Worshipful in this context means honored or revered) has responsibility for all of the operations of the Lodge. The Senior Warden is the second-in-command and oversees the conferring of degrees. The Junior Warden assists the Master and Senior Warden and generally looks after the welfare of the membership (also referred to as the Craft). They are elected to one-year terms at the annual meeting. A Secretary and Treasurer are also elected annually and see to the business and financial affairs of the Lodge. Six Trustees, who attend to the temple building, are elected to three-year terms of office. Each Master appoints 2 Deacons, 2 Stewards, Tyler, Chaplain, and, optionally, an Organist. Every officer volunteers his time to the Lodge.
